Solidarity to Palestine cannot be criminalized!

First they ignore you, then they mock you, then they fight you and then you defeat them

In the midst of the quarantine for COVID-19, the Department for the Confrontation of Racist Violence (!!!) has called me to give explanations for a lawsuit filed by the infamous Panagiotis Dimitras, regarding my article “"The ingratitude of the Jews is reflected in the action of Antifa Negative".

PanagiotisDimitras, son of the close partner of the dictator Georgios Papadopoulos and Deputy Minister of Social Welfare of the Junta of April 21^st, Elias Dimitras, used as a pretexta republication of my article in the far-right blog AttikaNea. The blog arbitrarily added a provocative anti-Semitic, anti-communist comment; a comment which is in direct ideological contrast with the style and the spirit of my article and also with my political stance.  A provocative publication, without my knowledge, which gave the perfect opportunity to those who try to criminalize solidarity in Palestine within our country,to proceed to this lawsuit in order to intensify their attempts to intimidate me.

It is crystal clear, that this lawsuit of Dimitras, titled “lawsuit to anti-Semitic-conspiracy libel”, is aimed to target my revelations of the provocative desecration of monuments and not the comment which was added by the blog AttikaNea. In this way, this lawsuit aims to conceal the actions of the Zionist “antifacist” Antifa Negative and to punish me because I unveiled them!

This lawsuit hasnot come out of nowhere, it is the continuation of a series of attacks I have received, including slanderous articles on the internet that try to blemish my character, countless (and successful) attempts to silence and censor my voice, even threats.

All these happen because I am the coordinator of the Front for Resistance and Solidarity to Palestine “GassanKanafani”, because I have written articles and I have revealed many dark spots in History, but, mainly, because I am a Communist with anti-imperialist action and I actively support Palestine and the Palestinian cause in Greece!

This attempt of intimidation is not simply a personal matter. To put it more accurately, this attempt is part of the broader Israeli effort to criminalize solidarity to Palestine, characterizing Anti-Zionism and Anti-imperialism, as Anti-Semitism. In other words, their goal is to identify in the penal law those who cry “don’t hit with your army tanks the Palestinian children” with the misanthropist and ignorant of History who say “well done by the Nazis who turned Jews to soap bars”. This effort was fulfilled with the Presidential Decree for the “confrontation of anti-Semitism”, signed by Trump, on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.

This bullying attack on me, concerns every friend of Palestine who fight for justice. It concerns every comrade Communist with anti-imperialist class consciousness, everyone who respect and honor the fights of our ancestors, everyone who does not tolerate the desecration of the monuments dedicated to those who fought against Fascism and gave their lives in battle.

This attack will not go unanswered, and I call on all political forces to help prevent this from happening!

Finally, I would like to emphasize the great irony, a son of a deputy minister of Junta to sue me on the basis of racism, because I revealed the desecration of monuments, including the monument of AlexandrosPanagoulis!
